Job summary

IAP LLC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect vehicles on arrival, during processing and allocation to ensure quality and document damages and deficiencies.

You will survey arriving vehicles for damage, document and sticker damages, and reconcile results with independent surveys when needed. Responsibilities include audits, inspections of installations and body/paint work, and reporting deficiencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid US Driver’s License required.
• TWIC Badge issued by DHS required.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Two-way radio and Freon detector experience preferred.
• Must be safety‑minded and able to follow instructions.
• Detail oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Survey arriving vehicles for damage or shortage per customer standards.
• Document damages and sticker appropriately; complete survey forms if needed.
• Reconcile survey results with independent surveys when required.
• Document warehouse and warranty damages; note quality deficiencies.
• Audit handling vehicles, installations or other operations as requested.
• Inspect accessory installations and body/paint work per specs.
• Report deficiencies to QC Manager and Shop Manager.
• Provide timely information to Port Representatives about damages or shortages.
• Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
