Job summary

IAP LLC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect vehicles on arrival, during processing, and at allocation to ensure quality and document damages and deficiencies. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities include documenting damages, reconciling surveys, auditing handling operations, and ensuring proper installation checks on accessories and body/paint work. A TWIC badge and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid US Driver’s License is required.
• TWIC badge issued by DHS is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Inspect arriving vehicles for damage or shortage according to customer standards.
• Document damages with stickers and complete the manufacturer’s survey form if needed.
• Reconcile survey results with independent survey companies when necessary.
• Document damages and defects in the assigned area and note quality deficiencies.
• Complete audits of handling vehicles, installations or operations as requested.
• Inspect proper installation of accessories and body/paint work per specifications.
• Report recurring or serious deficiencies to the QC Manager and Shop Manager.
• Provide timely information to other departments or Port Representatives about damages or shortages.
• Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
