Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Inspector I to verify vehicle information and document findings after intake. You will inspect interiors, exteriors, and components, note damages, and prepare reports to support repair decisions.

The role requires attention to safety and accuracy, with responsibilities spanning day-end tasks and ECR preparation. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and ICP Level I certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or less than 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license required for safe operation.
• ICP Level I written/field exam completed.
• 1–3 years of experience in automobile field preferred.
• Understanding of Baseline Inspections (Electronic Condition Reports).
• Knowledge of body, paint, and mechanical repair is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information from work orders by inspecting interiors, exteriors, and components.
• Prepare documentation and complete all required paperwork.
• Set up day-end procedures and run day-end checks.
• Write Electronic Condition Reports (ECR) and review for accuracy.
• Conduct OVE courtesy walk-around inspections and maintain system knowledge.
