Job summary

Ports America Shared Services, Inc. is seeking a diligent vehicle inspector to survey arriving vehicles for damage or shortage, document findings and complete necessary surveys. You will ensure accurate records and compliance with customer standards.

You will reconcile surveys with independent sources when needed, report deficiencies to the QC and Shop Managers, maintain a safe environment, and perform audits and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid US Driver's License.
• TWIC Badge issued by DHS.
• Drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Survey arriving vehicles for damage or shortage per customer standards.
• Document and sticker damages and complete manufacturer survey forms if needed.
• Reconcile survey results with independent survey companies when necessary.
• Document warehouse and warranty damages in the assigned area and note deficiencies.
• Perform audits of handling vehicles, installations or other operations as requested.
• Inspect installation of accessories and body/paint work per specifications.
• Report deficiencies to the QC Manager and Shop Manager.
• Provide timely information to other departments regarding damages, defects, or shortages.
• Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
