Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Team Lead for Vehicle Operations in Southern California to build and scale our Vehicle Operations team. You will lead operators, refine processes, and ensure safety and discipline while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor staff, manage timesheets and performance feedback, and drive improvements in operations, with a hands-on leadership style and a focus on delivering high standards for software and hardware tests.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional work experience in a cross-functional and product-based environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management, and explain technical issues.
• Excellent driving history.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle operators in day-to-day operations, upholding a safety-centric, inclusive, and open communication culture.
• Complete administrative tasks concerning team management, including timesheet approval and schedule validation.
• Work with Team Leads and Program/Project Managers to align with Zoox's goals.
• Become a knowledge expert on Zoox's proprietary software related to Vehicle Operations and mentor staff.
• Interact with contingent workforce personnel to ensure understanding and execution of job assignments.
• Conduct recurring testing with a priority on safety to stay current with Vehicle Operations.
• Be metric-focused and collaborate with product and program management to drive improvements.
