Job summary

Cox Automotive USA in Utah is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist I to ensure accurate sticker labeling, staging, and inventory control across the vehicle lot. This on-site role demands vigilance, strong organization, and reliable operation of handheld scanners to keep inventory visible and ready for auctions.

You will coordinate daily tasks, monitor yard flow, and collaborate with leadership to improve throughput while maintaining safety standards and timely updates to inventory systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience operating manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with handheld scanning devices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Stickering & Vehicle Identification: ensure vehicles have accurate stock labels and sale stickers; verify accuracy against records; audit for missing or incorrect stickers; maintain compliance with standards; correct inventory discrepancies.
• Vehicle Staging & Lot Flow: coordinate staging for inspections, imaging, reconditioning, transport and sale events; prioritize placement for deadlines; monitor lot organization; work with leadership to optimize flow.
• Lot Scanning & Inventory Control: monitor daily scanning compliance; audit locations; ensure movements are scanned and documented; resolve missing inventory discrepancies; collaborate to maintain visibility.
• Operational Coordination: assign and track daily tasks; communicate priorities and issues; monitor service levels and productivity; support auction readiness; escalate concerns.
• Safety & Compliance: follow safety standards; identify and report hazards; promote safe vehicle movement; participate in safety meetings and audits.
