Job summary

LEHR is hiring a Vehicle Upfit Installer in Pittsburg, CA. This role involves removing factory components and installing emergency equipment, cameras, and 12V wiring. You will learn and perform wiring and system installations while following safety protocols.

Ideal candidates show mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints. A valid driver license and a HS diploma are required. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• 12V experience and/or knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work around vehicles.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Install emergency vehicle equipment including light bars, sirens, speakers, bumpers, partitions, and more.
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
• Learn 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Organize tools and inventory.
• Track hours and job progress.

Schedule

Monday to Friday

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM - some overtime required
