Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Vehicle Support Specialist to become an expert on PACCAR Engines, Aftertreatment, and chassis Electrical Systems. You will provide Tier 1 technical support to dealer technicians and act as the first point of contact across PACCAR divisions to maximize uptime.

The role requires 4+ years in automotive diagnostics, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment with ongoing certifications pursued or earned.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automotive or diesel engine diagnostics experience, with OEM dealership exposure preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of engine, aftertreatment, and electrical systems; ability to diagnose faults efficiently.
• Proficient with industry diagnostic tools and OBD.
• Enrolled in automotive/diesel technical degree program; technical or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to earn and maintain technical certifications.
• Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct Tier 1 technical support to Dealer Technicians via TCS 365, identifying concerns and troubleshooting results.
• Follow up on repair progress to maximize uptime and return trucks to service.
• Support software on engine and chassis applications requiring approvals or research.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects including service tools, documentation, and Voice of Customer.
• Escalate complex issues to Technical Leads and regional teams.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
