Job summary

PACCAR Parts in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Vehicle Support Specialist who will become an expert on PACCAR Engines, Aftertreatment, and chassis Electrical Systems.

You will provide direct Tier 1 technical support to dealer technicians, troubleshoot using TCS 365, and help maximize uptime by following up on repairs and sharing critical information across PACCAR divisions. You will also pursue ongoing certifications and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automotive/diesel diagnostics experience; OEM dealer experience preferred.
• Understand engine and aftertreatment systems and diagnose faults.
• Understand electrical system theory and diagnose electrical faults.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and OBD.
• Currently enrolled in automotive or diesel tech degree program; degree preferred.
• Ability to earn/maintain technical certifications.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
• Strong PC skills including MS Office.
• Strong customer service and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct Tier 1 technical support to Dealer Technicians by identifying concerns and providing timely help via TCS 365.
• Follow-up on repair progress to maximize uptime.
• Provide software support on engine and chassis applications requiring approvals and/or additional research.
• Support cross-functional projects including tools, documentation, product quality, and VOC.
• Escalate complex vehicle issues to Tier 2/3 Field Support Teams and leadership as appropriate.
• Attain and maintain all PACCAR Engine Certifications and stay current on industry systems and technologies.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
