Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Powertrain Engine Inspection Technician with extensive hands-on diesel engine experience. You will perform thorough teardowns, inspections, and metrology studies, documenting findings with photos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

You will collaborate with experts to determine root causes and communicate results. Required are 10+ years in heavy‑duty diesel work and a strong ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy‑duty diesel or automotive technician experience.
• Strong metrology understanding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent trouble‑shooting and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete engine, component teardowns and inspections.
• Formulate root-cause hypotheses based on data and observations.
• Conduct metrological studies with precision tools.
• Document observations with detailed photography and PowerPoint.
• Coordinate returning parts to suppliers and other recipients.
• Track and organize incoming engines and components.
