PACCAR Parts is seeking a Vehicle Support Specialist in Renton, WA. You will become an expert on PACCAR Engines, Aftertreatment, and chassis electrical systems, providing timely support to dealer technicians and acting as the first point of contact across divisions to maximize uptime.

The role requires 4+ years of automotive diagnostics experience, strong OBD skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. Team collaboration and continuous improvement are key aspects of the job.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of experience in automotive and/or diesel engine diagnostics required.
• Fundamental understanding of engine and aftertreatment systems and demonstrated ability to diagnose faults.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical system theory and diagnose electrical faults.
• Proficient in industry computer-based diagnostic tools and standards including OBD.
• Currently enrolled in an automotive or diesel technical degree program; technical or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to earn and maintain technical certifications.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and produce high quality output.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment and adapt to changing schedules and requirements.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct Tier 1 technical support to Dealer Technicians using TCS 365.
• Follow-up on repair progress to maximize uptime.
• Provide software support on engine and some chassis applications requiring approvals.
• Support cross-functional projects including service tools, documentation, and VOC.
• Escalate complex vehicle issues to Tier 2/3 and leadership teams as appropriate.
• Attain and maintain all PACCAR Engine Certifications and stay current on industry systems.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
