Kenworth Truck Company in Kirkland, WA seeks an Uptime Engineering Product Engineer to lead dash lamp reduction and uptime improvements across PACCAR teams. This role coordinates with manufacturing, service, product development and IT to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in automotive electrical/software design, a B.S. in a related field, and strong data-analysis skills. Travel up to 10% is required; a Master’s or P.E. license is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years automotive electrical, electronic, and software design experience desired, preferably within PACCAR.
• B.S. in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or computer engineering, computer science or data science required; Master’s degree and/or P.E. license preferred.
• Must demonstrate ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, manage multiple projects, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Experience with large data sets using Tableau or Snowflake is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Automotive or Commercial vehicle background including J1939 CAN protocol and vehicle controls design or test desired.
• Preference for software design and release, multiplexed communications, diagnostics, powertrain, and/or embedded systems experience.

Responsabilités

• Drive dash lamp reduction and uptime improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze data, identify issues, plan workload, report progress, and track metrics.
• Analyze large telemetry datasets to understand issues and plan downtime reduction.
• Collaborate with warranty and field services to implement containment and permanent fixes.
• Travel up to 10% (domestic & international).
