Cox Automotive is seeking a detail shop associate in Omaha to clean, buff and detail vehicles for the auction process. Pay is production-based, calculated per task from $13.70 to $20.53, with potential additional compensation such as commissions or incentive programs.

The role includes removing debris, washing, buffing, detailing and safe driving responsibilities. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with payments after 30 and 90 days, and benefits like paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Generally, less than 2 years' experience in a related field.
• Previous detail shop or buffing experience is helpful.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.

Responsibilities

• Clean out and de-trash interior of vehicles and trunk areas.
• Remove plates, stickers and non-Auction related writing; disassemble spare tires.
• Wash vehicles with high-pressure washer or car wash; clean engine areas.
• Clean all interior/exterior surfaces and dress trim with brushes.
• Buff vehicles with dressing and polish to surfaces; use buffers as needed.
• Vacuum interior; scrub and shampoo carpets and upholstery; adjust seatbelts.
• Ensure warranty book and manual are present in glove box.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Drive vehicle into building and staging area for sale days as needed.
