Job summary

Cox Automotive in Massachusetts is seeking a Detail Technician (Piece) to work on-site at a Cox location. Pay is production-based, ranging from $13.70 to $20.53 per task, with potential additional incentives and commissions. The role requires good attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include interior/outside vehicle detailing, washing, buffing, and surface finishing. A high school diploma is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Previous experience in detail shop or buffing helpful.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Clean out and de-trash interior of vehicles by removing debris from ashtrays, consoles, dashboards, seats, etc.
• Remove license plates and window writing not related to Auction business.
• Disassemble spare tires in trunk.
• Wash vehicles using a high-pressure washer or automatic car wash equipment.
• Apply chemicals and clean engine compartments and battery terminals.
• Detail vehicles and buff surfaces inside and out.
• Wax exterior and buff painted surfaces.
• Vacuum interior and clean carpets and upholstery.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and report hazards.
