Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. seeks a detail associate in Omaha to clean and buff vehicles, removing debris and restoring interiors. Responsibilities include washing, engine cleaning, and safe handling of all parts and surfaces.

A valid license and pickup of standard/automatic transmissions are required. The role offers production-based pay per task with a sign-on bonus of $1,000, paid in two installments, and eligibility for incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Less than 2 years' experience in a related field.
• Previous detailing or buffing experience helpful.
• Safe drivers with valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior by removing debris from ashtrays, consoles, dash, seats and trunk.
• Remove license plates, stickers, and non-pertinent window writing; disassemble spare tires.
• Wash vehicles with high-pressure washer or automatic car wash; clean engine and battery terminals.
• Detail vehicles: trim, molding, weather stripping; use brushes for finish.
• Buff surfaces with dressings; apply compounds and polish; use buffers as needed.
• Vacuum, scrub, shampoo, and spot-clean carpets and upholstery; straighten seatbelts.
• Ensure glove box contents and owner manuals are secured.
• Follow safety procedures; participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Drive vehicles to staging areas or sale lot as required.
