Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States seeks a Detail Technician (Piece) to clean and restore vehicles, removing debris, washing, and detailing interiors and exteriors. Compensation is production-based per task, with ranges from $13.70 to $20.53 per task and potential incentives or commissions depending on location.

Work is day shift at a Cox location with no remote option; High school diploma preferred and valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Generally, less than 2 years' experience in a related field.
• Previous experience in detail shop or buffing helpful.
• Safe drivers with valid driver's license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Clean out and de-trash interior of vehicles, remove debris from ashtrays, consoles, and trunks.
• Remove license plates, stickers, and any writing from windows; disassemble spare tires in trunk.
• Wash vehicles with high-pressure washer or auto wash; clean engine and battery terminals.
• Detail vehicles by cleaning and dressing trim, moldings, and interior/exterior surfaces.
• Buff vehicles; apply dressing to engine compartment, wheels, and tires; wax and buff surfaces.
• Vacuum interior; scrub and shampoo carpets and upholstery; adjust seats.
