Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is seeking a Detail Technician (Piece) to perform thorough interior and exterior vehicle detailing. The role pays on a production basis, with pay per task ranging from $13.70 to $20.53 depending on location and task complexity.

Employment is on-site with a day shift and no remote work option. Responsibilities include cleaning interiors, removing debris, washing and buffing vehicles, and ensuring safety practices are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, or less than 2 years related experience.
• Previous detail shop or buffing experience is helpful.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Clean out and de-trash interior of vehicles including ashtrays, consoles, dashboards, seats, trunk, and engine compartment.
• Remove license plates and stickers; clean writing from windows not related to Auction business.
• Wash vehicles with high-pressure washer or automatic wash; clean and buff engine compartment and battery terminals.
• Buff and detail interiors and exteriors, applying dressings and wax as needed.
• Vacuum and clean upholstery; ensure seatbelts are straightened.
• Handle glove box contents and ensure warranty booklets are returned.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties including driving vehicles into building and staging areas.
