Job summary

CarMax Newark is seeking a Vehicle Condition Assessor to accurately document vehicle conditions for appraisals. You will image wholesale vehicles, support wholesale auctions, and assist with inventory updates.

You will collaborate with Buyers and Purchasing Managers, participate in onboarding, and follow EH&S guidelines to maintain a safe, efficient work environment. The role requires a valid driver's license, willingness to work outdoors in various weather, and flexibility for nights, weekends,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate vehicle assessments documenting cosmetic and mechanical conditions.
• Ensure accurate optioning of vehicles during assessments and inventory updates.
• Take high-quality images of wholesale vehicles for CarMax websites and auctions.
• Complete vehicle secures and confirmations; verify appraisal details.
• Assist with inventory management, transfers and lot merchandising as needed.
• Collaborate with team and onboard new associates to maintain excellence.
• Adhere to CarMax EH&S requirements and keep a clean work area.
