Job summary

CarMax in Maple Shade, NJ is seeking a Vehicle Condition Assessor to accurately assess and document vehicle conditions for appraisals. You will help ensure inventory accuracy, support wholesale operations, and work with Buyers, Senior Buyers, and Purchasing Managers while upholding CarMax EH&S standards.

You will conduct detailed cosmetic and mechanical assessments, capture high‑quality images for online catalogs, assist with lot merchandising, and participate in onboarding new associates to

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate vehicle assessments and document cosmetic and mechanical conditions for appraisal analysis.
• Ensure accurate optioning of vehicles during assessments and inventory updates.
• Perform high-quality imaging of wholesale vehicles for CarMax websites and support auction preparation.
• Complete vehicle secures and confirmations, verify appraisal details and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory management, customer transfers, and lot merchandising as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and assist onboarding of new associates.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
