Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is hiring for a Vehicle Check-In Associate in Dallas. You will enter precise vehicle data into the AS400 system, attach stock labels, and guide transporters to entry points.

The role involves manual handling, safety compliance, and collaboration with the auction team. 1–2 years of experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred to support efficient check-in operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld terminal or relay information via headset for data entry.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag 'no key' cars.
  • Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
  • Report transport damage as needed.
  • Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
  • Provide proper sale identification windshield code in the registration/check-in area.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following procedures and modeling safe behaviors.
  • Assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction lanes as needed.
  • Frequent lifting or bending as part of entry and inspection tasks.

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer (Portable Terminal - PT) or provide information via headset to co-worker for data entry for each vehicle received at the Auction including: Vehicle Identification number (VIN) Stock number Dealer identification number Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to outdoor weather and inclement conditions.(100% outdoors)

USD 15.10 - 22.69 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.10 - $22.69/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
