Job summary

Cox in North Dighton, MA is seeking a detail-oriented worker to enter vehicle data into our systems and support the vehicle intake process at the auction. You will photograph vehicles, apply stock labels, and assist transporters, ensuring accurate information transfer and smooth check-in.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift light loads. The position operates Monday–Friday, with pay reflective of hourly compensation and potential incentives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Input vehicle information into the AS400 system or relay data to a colleague for entry for each vehicle received at the Auction.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles; flag "no key" cars.
• Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone and report damage.
• Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
• Provide sale identification windshield code to the driver through the registration/check-in area.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including assisting on sale days.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (12pm-8:30pm)

Job Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer (Portable Terminal - PT) or provide information via headset to co-worker for data entry for each vehicle received at the Auction including:
  • Vehicle Identification number (VIN)
  • Stock number.
  • Dealer identification number
  • Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry. Flag 'no key' cars.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed.
• Take digital image of vehicle upon receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person who is driving vehicle through the registration/check-in area.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

USD 16.63 - 24.90 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $16.63 - $24.90/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
