Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems seeks a VDI Platform Engineer to support an onsite customer at Wright Patterson AFB. You will build and maintain gold images, manage multi-session host pools, FSLogix profiles, and implement cost-saving auto-scaling rules.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in IT and a relevant certification path, including CompTIA Security+. US citizenship with TS/SCI is required; experience with Horizon, AD/Directory Services, and streaming protocols is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in VDI Platform Engineering & Testing.
• Experience building and maintaining gold images, managing multi-session host pools, and configuring FSLogix profile containers.
• Experience packaging and deploying applications, integrating Active Directory/AWS Directory Services, administering WorkSpaces pools, and configuring streaming protocols (WSP/PCoIP).
• Provisioning and optimizing instant clones, managing virtualization storage, configuring Horizon Connection Servers, and orchestrating hybrid extensions.

Responsibilities

• Test and establish user feedback loops, gather performance metrics (latency, logon times, peripheral compatibility), and refine VDI templates based on structured feedback.
