Job summary

Etegent Technologies seeks a Cloud Engineer to maintain software, services, and development environments on large-scale systems for DoD/IC customers, with emphasis on VDI implementation, management, security, and documentation of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) using Azure Virtual Desktops, AWS Workspaces, or Horizon.

The position is primarily on-site at Wright Patterson AFB, with some time in our Dayton office.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Current, active Top Secret security clearance and ability to maintain on an ongoing basis and pass SCI adjudication.
CompTIA+ Certification.
Cloud compute infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure).

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) using platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktops, AWS Workspaces, or Horizon Virtual Desktops.
Develop, push, and test operating system configurations to thin-client devices.
Administer security patches, manage SSL/TLS certificates, and other tasks to ensure secure access to VDI systems.
Work with users to pilot changes to infrastructure, gather performance metrics, and refine changes based on feedback.
Collaborate with ISSOs to maintain security compliance and monitoring for all systems.
Write clear, concise documentation for system architecture or operational guides for helpdesk personnel.
