iENG Design is seeking a VDC Specialist to join the Raleigh, NC VDC team, focusing on plumbing model creation, coordination, and documentation. You will generate detailed spool and installation drawings, ensure accurate integration with the building model, and support field operations throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of plumbing design/VDC experience, familiarity with REVIT, AutoCAD and Autodesk Construction Cloud, and a willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• An associate’s degree in applied science or equivalent is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in plumbing design, VDC, or a related field.
• Knowledge of IPC, UPC or other plumbing codes.
• Familiarity with REVIT, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Planner.
• Willing to travel on an as-needed basis for project needs and team collaboration.
• The ability to work within an environment with deadlines and multiple duties.
• Strong work ethic with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Generating detailed deliverables such as spool drawings/maps, installation drawings, and hanger maps.
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure integration of plumbing systems within the building model.
• Designing and modeling plumbing systems based on P&IDs, design drawings or engineering markups.
• Providing technical support to project teams by troubleshooting VDC-related issues and assisting with model revisions.
• Developing hanger and supplemental steel layout and fabrication plans.
• Supporting the field and shop operations through the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of modeling and design work per codes and standards.
