Job summary

iENG Design is seeking a VDC Specialist to join our VDC department in Atlanta, GA. This role supports the creation, management, and coordination of 3D models and drawings for mechanical piping systems, leveraging REVIT, AutoCAD, and BIM360.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanical piping design/VDC experience and will collaborate across engineers and designers to ensure accurate integration within the building model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical piping design, VDC, or a related field.
• Proficient with REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM360, Microsoft Teams, and Planner.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple duties with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Generating deliverables such as spool drawings/maps, installation drawings, and hanger maps.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other team members to integrate piping systems in the building model.
• Design and model piping systems from P&IDs and existing models.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot VDC-related issues.
• Develop hanger and supplemental steel layout and fabrication plans.
• Support the field and shop through the project lifecycle.
• Review and ensure accuracy of modeling and design work per specs.
