Job summary
iENG Design in Nashville, TN, is seeking a VDC Specialist to join our VDC team. You will support 3D models and drawings for plumbing systems, collaborating across engineers and designers to ensure accurate integration within the building model.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in plumbing design/VDC, knowledge of IPC/UPC codes, and proficiency in REVIT/AutoCAD. Travel may be required, and the role offers a competitive salary with strong benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in plumbing design, VDC, or related field.
- Associate degree in applied science or equivalent experience preferred.
- Familiarity with IPC/UPC plumbing codes and 3D modeling tools.
Responsibilities
- Generate detailed deliverables: spool drawings, installation drawings, hanger maps.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to integrate plumbing systems in the building model.
- Model plumbing systems from P&IDs and design drawings; support VDC team with revisions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot VDC-related issues.
- Develop hanger and fabrication plans; support field and shop operations.
- Ensure modeling accuracy per codes, specs, and standards.
