Job summary

iENG Design is seeking a VDC Specialist to join our Granite City, IL team. The role focuses on creating, managing, and coordinating 3‑D models and drawings for mechanical piping systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mechanical piping design or VDC and are proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, and related tools. On-site work with travel; competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in CAD drafting, engineering, or construction management.
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, Microsoft Teams and Planner.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical piping design or VDC.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Detail-oriented, able to work with deadlines and multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Generate spool drawings, installation drawings, and hanger maps.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to integrate piping systems in the building model.
• Model piping systems from P&IDs and existing models.
• Provide technical support and assist with model revisions.
• Develop hanger and fabrication plans for steel layout.
• Support field and shop during the project lifecycle.
• Review modeling work for accuracy against specifications.
