Job summary

iENG Design in Charlotte, NC seeks a VDC Specialist to join our VDC department. You will generate spool drawings, hanger maps, and installation drawings while coordinating with engineers and designers to integrate piping systems in the building model.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical piping design or VDC, an associate degree, and proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM360, Planner, and MS Teams. Travel may be required. This role offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of experience in mechanical piping design or VDC.
• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM360, Planner and MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Generating spool drawings, installation drawings, and hanger maps.
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and team members to ensure accurate integration of piping in the building model.
• Designing and modeling piping systems from P&IDs and existing models.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for VDC-related issues.
• Developing hanger and fabrication plans.
• Supporting field and shop during the project lifecycle.
• Ensuring modeling accuracy per project standards.
