iENG Design in Atlanta, GA is seeking a VDC Specialist to support our VDC team on active projects. The role blends remote and onsite work and focuses on layout, sheet metal systems integration, and model revisions.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years CAD experience, expertise in scanning/surveying, and proficiency with REVIT, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• An associate degree in applied science (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proficient with REVIT, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and MS Teams/Planner.
• 2+ years in mechanical duct design, VDC, or related field.
• Willing to travel on an as-needed basis.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Produce deliverables including spool drawings/maps and installation drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers/designers to integrate sheet metal systems in the building model.
• Sheet metal design and modeling from details and existing models.
• Provide technical support and assist with model revisions as needed.
• Hanger and supplemental steel layout and fabrication.
• Support field and shop through the project lifecycle.
• Review modeling work for accuracy and adherence to standards.
