Southland Industries in Dulles, Virginia, is seeking a VDC Project Lead to join our team and drive project execution with a focus on coordination between VDC teams, stakeholders, and project leadership.

This role balances hands-on problem solving with strategic planning, supporting BIM standards, workflows, and content creation in Revit and related tools. Final title and compensation will align with internal equity and external benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication across disciplines.
• Lead medium-to-large-scale VDC projects and resolve complex challenges.
• Applied knowledge of BIM, VDC, and Fabrication ERP Tools.
• Construction practices and fabrication processes understanding, esp. mechanical systems.
• Develop and manage advanced workflows and implementation plans.
• Adopt and integrate emerging technologies aligning with industry standards.
• Good skills in BIM Content creation (RFAs).

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC Projects, resolve issues and ensure client/standards alignment.
• Interface with project teams for scheduling and deliverables.
• Review client BIM requirements and provide guidance to teams.
• Collaborate on external BIM execution plans for contractual compliance.
• Manage file sharing and coordination across disciplines; archive milestones.
• Create project-specific Revit content following standard practices.
