Southland Industries is seeking a VDC Specialist to support project execution through BIM and VDC expertise. The role involves project setup, model management, file coordination, and workflow support, collaborating with designers, engineers, and management to ensure standards are met.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience, including experience creating and managing BIM content.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across disciplines.
• Working knowledge of BIM and VDC tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Ability to support or manage VDC project tasks including model setup, sheet management, and submission preparation.
• Skills in documenting workflows and maintaining organized project data.
• Aptitude for adopting new technologies and process automation.
• High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Support VDC efforts on projects, assisting with technical execution, coordination, and problem resolution.
• Perform VDC project administration activities under the direction of VDC Project Leads.
• Review client BIM requirements and align project setups and deliverables to company standards.
• Assist with or lead model setup and ongoing model maintenance.
• Manage file sharing, uploads/downloads, updates, and milestone deliverables using Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Provide end-user support for VDC software like Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Apply company-standard VDC workflows to projects and document processes.
• Support QA/QC reviews of VDC outputs for accuracy and compliance.
