Job summary

RBA Builders LLC seeks a hands-on VDC Lead to lead project coordination, develop 3D and coordination models, and deliver high-quality VDC outputs. You will guide other VDC engineers, review model quality, and communicate risks and progress with project teams.

This full-time, in-office role includes travel to job sites as project needs dictate and a strong emphasis on teamwork, innovation, and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on VDC/BIM, construction technology, modeling, coordination, or related construction experience.
• Experience with Revit and Navisworks; AutoCAD, ReCap, Bluebeam, laser scanning, surveying, and visualization tools preferred.
• Understanding of BIM/VDC modeling, clash detection, constructability reviews, coordination, and project delivery workflows.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and coordination items across active projects.
• Detail-oriented with pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Clear communication and collaboration with project teams, field teams, and other technical professionals.
• Comfortable reviewing others’ work, providing technical guidance, and maintaining quality standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor’s in construction management, architecture, engineering, BIM, drafting/design tech or related field preferred.
• Willing to visit jobsites to support scanning, surveying, coordination, and field verification activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned VDC projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Develop and maintain 3D models, coordination models, logistics plans, 4D visuals, and other VDC deliverables.
• Perform model coordination, clash detection, constructability reviews, and identify sequencing risks.
• Review VDC deliverables for quality, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project standards.
• Support and guide VDC Engineers with day-to-day technical work, priorities, and deliverables.
• Serve as primary VDC point of contact for assigned projects and communicate updates, risks, and unresolved issues.
• Participate in coordination meetings and help turn model-based findings into practical construction solutions.
• Support laser scanning, surveying, field verification, and other VDC-related site activities as needed.
• Manage your own modeling workload while helping lead and support the work of the VDC team.
