Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a VDC Project Lead to drive successful project execution, coordinating between VDC teams, stakeholders, and leadership. The role balances hands-on problem-solving with strategic planning to uphold BIM standards, workflows, and timely deliverables.

The position may be filled at varying levels based on skills and experience; final title and compensation will align with market benchmarks, with internal equity in mind.

Qualifications

• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication across disciplines
• Proven ability to lead medium-to-large-scale VDC projects and resolve technical challenges
• Applied knowledge of BIM, VDC, and Fabrication ERP Tools
• Solid understanding of construction practices and fabrication processes
• Ability to develop and manage advanced workflows and implementation plans
• Ability to adopt and integrate emerging technologies with industry standards
• Good skills in BIM Content creation (RFAs)
• Bachelor-level degree in construction or engineering or related field and 2–5 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC projects and coordinate with client requirements and company standards
• Interface with project teams for scheduling and deliverables
• Review BIM requirements and provide guidance to project teams
• Collaborate on external BIM execution plans to ensure contract compliance
• Manage file sharing and archiving of milestone submittals
• Create project-specific Revit content using standard practices
