Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a VDC Engineer in Lima, Ohio, to lead Digital Engineering, Virtual Design & Construction, and Digital Delivery across multiple complex projects. The role emphasizes model-based workflows, QA/QC, field integration, and coordination using laser scanning, drones, and advanced surveying tools.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum.
• 1-5 years of VDC related design and/or construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings, to navigate 3d models, and to identify different building systems.
• Competency with Procore, Autodesk Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Support pursuits, preconstruction, construction, and turnover through the development and application of 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, and 7D model-based workflows and deliverables.
• Develop site logistics, sequencing, and safety models, incorporating field conditions, construction planning, and operational requirements.
• Create clash reports for coordination meetings; run trade coordination meetings; capture meeting minutes, issues, and RFIs and work to resolve issues.
