Job summary

Green Key Resources seeks a BIM/VDC Project Manager in Columbus, OH to lead planning, coordination, and execution of BIM/VDC projects for education, healthcare, multifamily and commercial sectors.

You will drive BEPs, ensure compliance with project standards, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain clear communication and comprehensive documentation throughout project lifecycles.

A well established BIM and VDC firm in Columbus, OH is looking to expand their Project Management department due to a large backlog of work coming up in Central Ohio. Their current portfolio of work consists of construction projects within the education, healthcare, multifamily and commercial construction industries.

Overview:

• The BIM/VDC Project Manager oversees planning, coordination, and execution of BIM and VDC projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Develop a strong understanding of BIM/VDC workflows, construction processes, and project documentation practices to drive project success.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout project lifecycles.
• Track project scope, deliverables, and milestones, maintaining comprehensive documentation including BEPs, meeting notes, and logs.
• Monitor progress of modeling, coordination, and review tasks, flagging potential delays or issues to senior staff and client teams.
• Lead model coordination, clash tracking, and issue management, supporting quality control checks for models and drawings.
• Apply BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project standards, ensuring adherence to established conventions and file structures.
• Prepare progress reports and dashboards, maintaining logs for RFIs, clashes, and change requests to ensure transparency.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate BIM/VDC project activities across teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Develop and update project schedules and task assignments, monitoring progress and addressing potential delays proactively.
• Lead coordination meetings, model reviews, and internal check-ins, preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up items.
• Support client communications under supervision, ensuring clear and effective exchange of information and updates.
• Maintain BIM standards, naming conventions, and file structures, ensuring consistency and quality across project deliverables.
• Track project hours and budgets, managing P&L for assigned projects and assisting with progress reporting.
• Monitor and document RFIs, clashes, and change requests, ensuring comprehensive tracking and resolution.
• Support quality control checks for models and drawings, ensuring adherence to project standards and client expectations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in BIM/VDC Project Management within the AEC industry.
• Proficiency in BIM workflows, construction processes, and project documentation tools, including Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in model coordination, clash tracking, and issue management, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, naming conventions, and file structures, with the ability to apply BEPs and project standards.
• Ability to track project hours, budgets, and P&L, supporting financial and progress reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with RFIs, clashes, and change request documentation, ensuring comprehensive tracking and resolution.
