Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks a VDC Manager for a data center project in San Marcos, TX to lead VDC design, management, and implementation. You will coordinate modeling, reality capture, and through-site workflows with project teams.

Ideal candidates bring five years in architectural/construction roles, with at least two years in VDC/BIM management, plus strong Autodesk skills and drone/reality capture experience. Weitz offers growth, benefits, and a diverse workplace.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field; experience may be considered.
Five years of architectural, construction, or manufacturing work experience required; at least two in VDC/BIM management.
Proficiency with Autodesk software and general VDC tools; knowledge of drones or reality capture is a plus.
LEAN principles are desirable; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Apply VDC technologies onsite with project teams and streamline workflows.
Provide tech expertise on drones, robotics, laser scanning, and reality capture.
Leverage 3D/4D/5D content to support design, management, and VDC implementation.
Mentor team members and lead VDC training sessions.
Maintain site models, RFIs, and design changes across trades.
Produce VDC estimates and cost analyses as needed.
Promote VDC capabilities to owners, architects, and project teams.
