Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks a VDC Manager to lead modeling coordination, reality capture, and digital construction on a San Marcos, TX data center project. You will drive 3D/4D/5D workflows, coordinate with design and field teams, and mentor staff while advancing VDC standards.

Key responsibilities include drone data, laser scanning, RFIs, model updates, and cost analysis, with opportunities to influence project delivery and innovation across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Five years of architectural/construction experience with at least two years in VDC/BIM management.
• LEAN knowledge desirable; OSHA 10/30 preferred or willing to obtain.
• Proficient in MS Office and Autodesk software; able to learn other VDC tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply VDC technologies on site with project teams.
• Lead modeling coordination and reality capture workflows.
• Coordinate 3D, 4D and 5D content for design and construction.
• Streamline workflows between preconstruction and field operations.
• Lead VDC training sessions with learning development.
• Test and implement new software/hardware with stakeholders.
• Produce VDC estimates and cost analysis as requested.
• Maintain VDC standards and manage model updates with trades.
• Mentor team members and delegate development tasks.
• Manage models: site/logistics models, RFIs, A/E changes, final As-Built.
