Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking a VDC Designer / BIM Coordinator to support large-scale industrial and data-center projects in Boise, Idaho on-site. You will develop and coordinate 3D BIM models, conduct clash detection, and lead multidisciplinary coordination with engineers, contractors, and field teams.

You will maintain model libraries, share data via BIM 360/Construction Cloud, and prepare field-ready drawings while ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience within the AEC industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale industrial, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• 2+ years of BIM coordination leadership or active coordination.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience with clash detection and multidisciplinary model coordination.
• Procore and Bluebeam familiarity preferred.
• Proficiency interpreting P&IDs/Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Experience with BIM coordination and LOD 500 modeling.
• Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specs, and technical docs.
• MEP familiarity and coordination processes.
• Scripting/automation (Dynamo, Python, PowerShell) preferred.
• Autodesk ReCap for design verification or deviation analysis preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, issue-tracking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Hands-on field experience preferred.
• High flexibility for extended hours (up to ~50h/wk).

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and update 3D BIM models using Revit per specs and standards.
• Perform clash detection, model federation, and coordination using Navisworks Manage.
• Identify and resolve conflicts between MEP, structural, architectural, and other disciplines.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to maintain accuracy.
• Maintain standardized file structures, naming conventions, and BIM libraries.
• Prepare construction-ready drawings and model views for field use.
• Manage model sharing, version control, and collaboration via BIM 360/Construction Cloud.
• Facilitate model coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Conduct model quality checks for accuracy and consistency with standards.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, construction management, and trade professionals.
• Participate in ad hoc meetings with subcontractors as needed.
• Attend daily/weekly field meetings to stay aligned with site conditions.
• Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office 365 for project documentation and coordination.
