Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a VDC Designer / BIM Coordinator to develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models on-site in Boise, Idaho. The role collaborates with construction management, engineering, and field teams to ensure models reflect project requirements and current site conditions.

Required 2+ years in the AEC industry with proficiency in Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC. Preference given to experience in mission-critical environments and access to Procore/Bluebeam.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience within the AEC industry.
2+ years leading or actively performing BIM coordination.
Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Experience with clash detection and multidisciplinary model coordination.
Proficiency interpreting P&IDs/Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
Experience with BIM coordination and LOD 500 modeling.
Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Working knowledge of MEP systems and coordination processes.
Strong problem-solving, issue-tracking, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with engineers, construction professionals, subcontractors, and trade partners.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced project.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
High school diploma or GED required.
Flexibility to support extended hours and overtime as needed.
Comfortable working up to ~50 hours/week when required.
Ability to work in office and active construction-site environments.
Ability to travel to project or client locations.

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and update 3D BIM models using Revit.
Perform clash detection, model federation, and coordination using Navisworks Manage.
Identify and resolve conflicts between MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and field teams to maintain model accuracy.
Maintain standardized file structures, naming conventions, and BIM libraries.
Prepare construction-ready drawings and model views for field use.
Manage model sharing, version control, and collaboration via BIM 360/ACCs.
Facilitate model coordination and data exchange using Navisworks/Newforma Konekt.
Participate in BIM/model coordination meetings with stakeholders.
Conduct model quality checks for accuracy and compliance with standards.
Collaborate with QA/QC, construction management, and trade professionals.
Attend ad hoc meetings with subcontractors as needed.
Join daily and weekly field meetings to stay aligned with site conditions.
Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office 365 for project documentation.
