Job summary

Top Echelon LLC seeks a VDC Designer / BIM Coordinator to support complex, large-scale construction projects through 3D model development, maintenance, and coordination. Ideal candidates have strong Revit and Navisworks experience and a solid grasp of MEP systems and coordination.

This on-site Boise, Idaho role involves collaboration with engineers, contractors, and field teams to ensure models reflect site conditions and project requirements. 50-hour weeks may occur during peak periods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the AEC industry.
• Experience supporting large-scale industrial, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• 2+ years leading or actively performing BIM coordination.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience with clash detection and multidisciplinary model coordination.
• Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam.
• Proficiency interpreting P&IDs/Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Experience with BIM coordination and LOD 500 modeling.
• Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of MEP systems and construction coordination processes.
• Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Dynamo, Python, or PowerShell is preferred.
• Experience using point-cloud tools such as Autodesk ReCap for design verification is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and update 3D BIM models using Revit per project specs.
• Perform clash detection, model federation, and multidisciplinary coordination using Navisworks Manage.
• Identify and resolve conflicts between MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and field teams to maintain model accuracy.
• Maintain standardized file structures, naming conventions, and BIM libraries.
• Prepare construction-ready drawings and model views for field use.
• Manage model sharing, version control, and collaboration via BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Facilitate model coordination and data exchange using Navisworks, Newforma Konekt, and related platforms.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings with stakeholders and clients.
• Conduct model quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, construction management, and trade professionals to resolve issues.
• Attend ad hoc meetings with subcontractors as needed and support field alignment.
