Job summary

Courtyard Inc. seeks a Process Improvement Engineer to architect and optimize its vault and logistics network at scale.

You will design workflows, layouts, labor models, and material flow across receiving, intake, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to increase throughput and reduce costs. You’ll work with Vault Operations, Engineering, and Product to translate operational reality into scalable automation and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in process improvement engineering or related field.
• Hands-on fulfillment center, warehouse, or logistics network experience.
• Strong basis in process engineering, workflow design, and modeling.
• Comfort using data to drive throughput, capacity, and cost decisions.
• Experience with warehouse systems, automation, or facility design preferred.
• Ability to design systems and validate them on the floor.
• Strong cross-functional communication with technical and non-technical teams.
• Builder mentality and comfort operating in ambiguity.
• Experience supporting facility launches and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Engineer end-to-end workflows across receiving, intake, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to optimize throughput and labor efficiency.
• Define SOPs, performance benchmarks, and staffing plans aligned to volume forecasts.
• Design warehouse and vault layouts, including slotting strategy and travel paths.
• Lead implementation of automation, tooling, and WMS enhancements.
• Translate operational requirements into system design inputs and data models.
• Build and analyze operational models to identify bottlenecks and cost drivers.
• Define KPIs and run pilots to validate improvements before scaling.
• Produce SOPs and training materials to ensure consistency on the floor.
