Job summary

Step Up in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant VASH Program Manager to coordinate housing and intensive case management for Veterans. The role will support the Director and Program Manager, lead the VASH team, and ensure services align with program requirements and funding obligations.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field, California licensure, and significant clinical and case management experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling psychology or family therapy.
• Licensed with BBS and at least 2 years of clinical experience, including veterans.
• Case management experience and ability to chart client progress.
• Valid California driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead VASH team in director's absence and attend meetings.
• Oversee staff onboarding, interviews, and background checks.
• Ensure services meet regulatory requirements and funding terms.
• Provide weekly supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Approve hours, mileage, and petty cash; manage time effectively.
• Coordinate with VA liaison and organize weekly case conferences.
• Maintain program records and LOC tracking; support documentation.
