Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform a full range of vascular exams using ultrasound and related modalities. The role includes cross-training within CV Services, ensuring imaging quality, documenting patient data, and performing procedures per physician orders.

Rotations to off-site locations and on-call duties during holidays/nights/weekends are required. An ARDMS/CCI/AHA credential set is expected with an Associate’s Degree in Sonography.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days as per posting.
• RVS and RVT/VT certifications required.
• ARDMS certification noted as standard.
• Associate’s Degree in Sonography required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-trains to other divisions of CV Services.
• Demonstrates imaging quality by critiquing positioning, factors and alignment.
• Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness.
• Documents accurately and completely.
• Performs vascular ultrasound procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Rotate to off-site mobile locations to serve patients.
• Take call during rotating holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Clean equipment and rooms between patients.
• Communicate patient history and exam findings to physicians.
