Job summary

Resolute Health Hospital in Texas seeks a skilled vascular technologist to perform duplex scanning of carotid arteries, upper and lower extremities, abdominal vessels (aorta, hepatic and portal), and transcranial Doppler when needed. You will complete required competencies during the introductory period and support related duties.

Minimum education includes a High School Diploma with 2 years of related college credits; AMA-accredited vascular technology training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least 2 years (24 credit hours) of related college credits.
• Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Vascular Technology preferred.
• 1 year in vascular studies recommended; knowledge of Doppler for arterial/venous assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform duplex scanning of carotid arteries, upper and lower extremities, abdominal vessels, and transcranial studies.
• Insonation using PW/CW Doppler as required for arterial and venous evaluation.
• Complete competencies within designated introductory period; perform related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Performs duplex scanning of carotid arteries, upper and lower extremity veins, upper and lower extremity arteries, abdominal aorta, aortic, hepatic and portal flow systems, PW or CW insonation of cerebral arteries transcranially, and peripheral arteries. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma and at least 2 years (24 credit hours) of career oriented college
credits in related discipline. Each year of experience may replace 12 credit hours of college.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Vascular Technology
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in vascular studies. Knowledge of Doppler for arterial and venous circulation evaluation
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: NA
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Must be Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT),
Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS), or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
