Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, Illinois, is looking for a Vascular Technologist to perform various vascular exams using ultrasound. This role requires knowledge in imaging standards and a strong background in sonography.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Cross-train to other divisions of CV Services.
  • Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards.
  • Review patient data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Document procedures accurately.
  • Perform routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures.
  • Rotate to off-site mobile locations as needed.
  • Take call during rotating holidays and weekends.
  • Clean equipment and rooms between patients.
  • Communicate accurately with physicians about patient history.

Overview

The Vascular Technologist performs a full range of vascular exams, using a variety of equipment and modalities including ultrasound and testing.

Qualifications
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist – Vascular Technology (RVT‑VT) – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Sonography
Responsibilities
  • Cross‑trains to other divisions of CV Services.
  • Demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors and alignment.
  • Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness.
  • Documents accurately and completely.
  • Performs routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.
  • Performs a variety of vascular ultrasound exams, according to physician orders and standing protocols.
  • Rotates to off‑site mobile locations to serve patients with local testing availability.
  • Takes call during rotating holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Properly cleans equipment and rooms between patients.
  • Documents appropriately to accurately communicate with physicians on patient history and exam findings.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $36.78 per hour - $63.26 per hour. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
