Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels, TX seeks a qualified vascular technologist to perform duplex scanning of carotid and peripheral vessels, with cerebral insonation and abdominal flow assessment.

Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma plus related college credits, and 1 year of vascular studies experience. Active BLS is required and RVT/RCVT/RVS certification may be preferred. This PRN role emphasizes patient care and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma and at least 2 years (24 credit hours) of career oriented college credits in related discipline.
• Each year of experience may replace 12 credit hours of college.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Vascular Technology
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in vascular studies. Knowledge of Doppler for arterial and venous circulation evaluation
• PREFE RRED EXPERIENCE: NA

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs duplex scanning of carotid arteries, upper and lower extremity veins, upper and lower extremity arteries, abdominal aorta, aortic, hepatic and portal flow systems, PW or CW insonation of cerebral arteries transcranially, and peripheral arteries. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
