Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers in a fast-paced setting. You will greet patients, take vital signs, document history, assist with exams, and ensure compliance with OSHA/CLIA and HIPAA regulations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of MA training with externship, andPreferred EMT certification. Benefits include no nights or weekends, PTO, and a 403b with matching opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Completion of MA Program including hands-on MA externship.
• Completion of SEP Internship.
• Completion of EMT certification.
• Degree in Health or Biological Sciences inclusive of hands-on clinical patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs and document in chart.
• Document patient history in chart.
• Provide instructions to patient and address exam concerns.
• Prepare patient for exam and assist provider during examination.
• Perform nursing procedures under provider supervision.
• Collect lab specimens and perform basic tests.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by provider.
• Ensure all forms and logs are complete and compliant with revenue cycle processes.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA compliance.
