Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Vascular unit on a PRN basis. The role includes 12-hour shifts, with two shifts every two weeks, and collaboration with vascular surgeons and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualified applicants hold an Alabama (or compact) RN license, an ADN (Bachelor's preferred), and BLS/ACLS within set timelines. A strong focus on patient-centered care and documentation is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama or compact RN license.
• Two–three years of nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certification required within designated timelines.
• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and determine patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions and document care.
• Provide age-appropriate, condition-specific care.
• Document medical necessity and care plans in the record.
• Develop and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Complete timely quality improvement assessments.
