Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Vascular for PRN 12-hour shifts, with a schedule requiring two shifts every two weeks. You will support complex vascular patients and collaborate with vascular surgeons, wound specialists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

The role requires an Alabama RN license, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), BLS within 30 days and ACLS within six months, with 2–3 years of nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• License in Alabama or compact state is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Two to three years of nursing experience preferred; new grads encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments.
• Identify and initiate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
• Document medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.
• Educate patients and support dialysis certification as growth.
