Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Comprehensive Vascular Access (Flexi/PRN) at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. You will focus on PICC, midline and IV access, delivering direct patient care and education using the nursing process.

Requirements include Alabama RN licensure, three years' related experience, BSN preferred, and VA-BC or CRNI certification within 18 months. CPR/ACLS required or obtained within 30 days of hire, with a pay range of $33.00–$52.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with Alabama RN licensure.
• Three years of related nursing experience required; BSN preferred.
• CPR and ACLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized direct nursing care for pre/post-vascular access (PICC, midline, IV).
• Evaluate, place and monitor devices using systematic nursing judgment.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and maintenance; collaborate with the care team.
